Fall protection system CFP

The CFP for aluminium standing seam roofs is mounted on the flanges of the profile panels without peating with the kalzip terminals approved for construction. As a rope system, the fall protection system for a maximum of six people is designed and approved for construction.

In the event of a crash, the loads occurring in the system are absorbed by the coils in the roof anchors.

The absorber is designed to limit the maximum force of up to six people in the event of a crash to less than 10 kN and thus no damage to the profile panels occurs.

Kalzip® fixing terminal

The Kalzip fastening terminal is used for the penetration-free fastening of attachments, e.g. running gratings, solar systems (photovoltaic and solar thermal). The temperature-related changes in length of the Kalzip profile panels are not hindered or restricted by the Kalzip mounting terminals when properly installed.

Kalzip® Lighting protection terminals

Kalzip roof and wall systems are flexibly adaptable to the architectural and technical requirements in the industrial, private and public areas and offer as safe as they are effective protection against lightning strikes in buildings as well as their electromagnetic effect in electrical installations.

An economic and efficient measure to protect against lightning and its effects can be taken on Kalzip profile boards in two ways:

  • as a reception device to protect against lightning strikes in buildings
  • as a building shield against the electromagnetic effect of lightning strikes.

Kalzip as a collection device

Kalzip profile boards are considered to be a natural collection device according to DIN EN 62305-3, as their flanging is effective as a permanent electrical connection. The prerequisite is that the profile boards are connected to the earth.

In the event that the Kalzip profile boards are coated, a type test according to DIN V VDE V 0185-600 is required. Kalzip passed this test (Test Report No. BET/ Corus 08-06-17-1d on request).

This means that all roofs made of Kalzip profile panels are suitable without further requirement to be used as a natural component of a standard-compliant lightning protection system according to VDE 0185-305-3 (IEC/EN 62305-3). Tested terminals are available for connecting the Kalzip profile boards. The terminals were designed in close cooperation between Kalzip and the company. OBO Bettermann developed and tested for flash current load capacity according to VDE 0185-561-1 IEC/ EN 62561-1 (examiner certificate on request).

Kalzip® MH steam barrier

The Kalzip MH vapour barrier for Kalzip roof structures with aluminium profile panels is a nailable and interpassable cold-adhesive elastomer bitumen steam barrier in accordance with DIN EN 13970 with an over-the-top aluminium polyester combination coating and an aluminium-free edge.

Low-fire load Kalzip® steam barrier FR

The Kalzip steam barrier FR is a low-fire, one-sided self-adhesive vapour barrier made of tear-resistant, fabric-reinforced aluminium composite film in accordance with DIN EN 13984. It is suitable for roofs with seals according to DIN 18531, preferably on substructures made of steel trapezoidal sheet metal.

Kalzip®Steps and running gratings

The Kalzip aluminium stepping and running gratings have been specially developed for safe and regular inspection of inclined scalproofs. They must be used wherever recurring maintenance work, e.g. on domestic installations such as chimneys, light strips, heating and solar systems, has to be carried out. In addition to the running grate holder, the system includes a short step, a stand kick and an endless running grate. These rusts, which can be firmly installed, can be infinitely adjusted to any roof inclination up to max. 45° adjust.

Kalzip® Snow catching system

In order to protect against falling snow accumulations and ice sheets, snow-catching equipment can be required in snow-rich regions. In addition, the formation of ice-skijumps or barriers, which can lead to considerable damage to gutters and other roof accessories, is to be expected under extraordinary weather conditions. For these regions, it is recommended to use flat-distributed Kalzip snow-catching systems. In addition, the accumulation of ice formation should be avoided by shading areas at risk.
