Trained staff work closely with clients, tailoring specifications to meet individual requirements of the project – including all necessary calculations, assembly instructions and technical advice ensuring that both specification and delivery requirements are met. Kalzip provide a comprehensive technical advisory and support service to assist architects, designers, specifiers and approved Kalzip installation contractors with building design, building physic, product application and site considerations, from design stage through to project completion and beyond.
The Technical Services Department has extensive roofing and cladding expertise and can provide suitable designs and details for any application via the latest CAD equipment. Economical construction solutions for the most complex roof designs can also be provided. With the increasing pace of Kalzip’s product innovations and ability to comply with the improving Building Regulations, additional information to support both the specifier and installer alike are constantly being developed.
Complex shapes and solutions not only mean increased capability within the technical team but also the ability of the department to communicate the necessary knowledge to Kalzip’s approved installer network via its training school and courses.
Kalzip’s state of the art training centre is a purpose built facility located within our headquarters at Haydock St Helens. Kalzip’s ongoing investment in training and commitment to best practice, ensuring that Kalzip systems provide optimum performance throughout the lifetime of the building.
Equipped to the highest standards, the centre accommodates up-to date training techniques covering technical information and practical installation advice on existing and recent introductions to the Kalzip range of products.
Focusing on estimating, designing, installation and general product awareness, participants are encouraged to apply the knowledge they gain in the classroom to practical situations through specially prepared simulated roof rigs designed to demonstrate the installation of the complete range of products and standard details.

Thanks to the optimised installation properties and flexibility of the renovation system, we were able to achieve an excellent standard of installation. The now hardened roofing is durable, fire-resistant and maintenance-free. We were also able to design the roof surface in our corporate colours and feature our company name, thereby helping to promote our brand image.
In order to create a building for the Technoparc – CLAAS’s exhibition and customer centre – that is both energy-efficient and aesthetically impressive, we opted for the Kalzip DuoPlus system for the roof structure. It exceeds current EnEV standards for thermal insulation. It is also ideally suited to buildings with high acoustic requirements, such as those found here at the Technoparc with its various rooms for exhibitions, lectures and the cinema auditorium.
We carried out the extension of the Lisa Tetzner School in Holte-Stukenbrock using a timber-frame construction method. To ensure summer heat protection in the classrooms below, we opted for an energy-efficient roof structure using Kalzip DuoPlus E. The construction principle consists of a load-bearing layer and an additional, compressible mineral wool insulation, which enabled us to achieve an excellent U-value.

Thanks to our fleet of mobile roll-forming units, we are able to produce Kalzip profiled sheets almost anywhere in the world. This saves time and reduces logistics costs during the construction phase.
This enables us to produce the profiled sheets directly on the roof using a crane that lifts our roll former into position. As a result, we are completely independent of on-site logistical constraints, such as uneven or muddy ground. For architects and building owners, this means maximum flexibility in both planning and execution.
Another advantage of on-site production is the constant presence of our roll-forming operators whilst the roof is being installed. This means that any questions regarding the product or installation can be answered immediately on site. Our roll-forming fleet is available internationally and offers a high degree of flexibility.
