Modern Roof Shapes Kalzip® – With A Roof System For Complex Geometries

Flexicon rr80 roof system

architectural flexibility down to the finest detail

The Kalzip FlexiCon system is a flexible substructure which can be used to compensate for large differences in height in the substructure to accommodate and install Kalzip system fasteners and adjust them to the required level. Another area of application is three-dimensional structures or even complete building envelopes which have limitations in the design of the substructure due to their demanding building geometry.

In combination with our Kalzip XT 65/… free-form profiled sheets, any organic shapes can be realised. Kalzip XT free-form profiles are available in various designs and can be individually adapted to the respective requirements of the project. They are particularly suitable for designing buildings with sophisticated architectural shapes and offer high quality and durability.

The Advantages:

  • Adaptation of the profiled sheets to the perfect building geometry
  • Height compensation of on-site tolerances
  • Three-dimensional alignment of the Kalzip clips possible
  • Quick adjustment of the spatial position of the tube substructure segments through three measuring points

For complex building geometries

The advantages:

  • Economical and favourable substructure for free-form structures with standing seam profiled sheets
  • High level of safety thanks to corrosion-resistant aluminium alloy
  • Height levelling of on-site tolerances
  • Undisturbed temperature-related linear expansion via mounted Kalzip clips
  • Complete engineering and project-related production of components
  • Higher insulation thicknesses

Applications:

  • Design freedom: With Kalzip complex geometry roof systems, architects can realise curved, sweeping and asymmetrical roof shapes and thus create unique and individual building designs.
  • Lightweight construction: Kalzip complexe geometry roof systems are made of aluminium profiles and are therefore lighter than traditional roof constructions. This means that they can also be installed on existing buildings without compromising the load-bearing capacity of the existing structure.
  • High quality: Kalzip complexe geometry roof systems are robust and durable and can last for decades. They are corrosion-resistant and can withstand heavy wind and snow loads thanks to their flexibility and weather resistance.
  • Sustainability: The use of aluminium profiles in Kalzip complex geometry roof systems reduces the environmental impact as the material is 100% recyclable. The roof systems can also be fitted with thermal insulation to reduce energy requirements and thus contribute to the sustainability of the building.
  • Easy to install: Kalzip complex geometry roof systems can be installed in a short time and with minimal effort, which shortens construction time and reduces costs.
  • Versatility: Kalzip complexe geometry roof systems are suitable for a wide range of building types, including commercial, industrial and sports buildings.
