With around 390,000 inhabitants, #Bologna is one of the largest Italian cities without its own inner-city rail network. To relieve traffic congestion and make mobility more sustainable, a tram network with four lines is currently being built. The first section is scheduled to go into operation as early as 2026. Parallel to the track construction, the accompanying infrastructure is also growing: new terminals with spacious parking areas and a modern vehicle depot are planned on the outskirts of the city. The curved aluminum roof of one of the terminals is particularly striking. Thanks to flexible profiles from #Kalzip, the roof impresses with modern design and functionality.
