How sustainable are Kalzip products in terms of recycling?

Kalzip is completely recyclable by type and even has a residual value when dismantled, the raw material aluminum is remunerated by the scrap trade.

What proportion of Kalzip products are recycled?

Kalzip consists of a high proportion of recycled aluminum, on request over 95% can be realized.

How durable is a Kalzip roof?

The oldest aluminum roof from 1897 is still in use. The Kalzip roof system has been in existence for 52 years, and long-term tests are carried out at regular intervals on the first roofs in the port of Hamburg.

How are the Kalzip accessories attached to the roof?

The attachment of all Kalzip accessories, such as snow guards, walkways, fall protection, lightning protection, etc. is carried out without penetration using the approved Kalzip fixing clamps.

What is the maximum possible sheet length for Kalzip profiled sheets?

For construction site production, maximum track lengths of over 100 m can be realized without joints. For projects that are produced at the Koblenz site, the approved transport length is the limiting factor.

Can condensation form under the Kalzip roof cladding?

For condensation to form, moist air must be cooled. As the Kalzip system provides compressed soft thermal insulation on a vapor barrier, condensation cannot form. Moisture that is built in during installation can escape through the diffusion-open flange, allowing the system to regenerate within a summer.

Can I replace the Kalzip profiled sheets at any time without damaging other sheets?

Kalzip roofing membranes can be opened and resealed several times without damaging the function of the roof.
