Construction site of the week
Springer building Bundeswehr Hospital, Berlin
The Bundeswehr Hospital in Berlin looks back on a long history. The oldest part of the building was erected in 1850 and is a listed building. Intensive use and constant advances in medical technology require regular construction work on the entire site.
In order to maintain smooth operations during such work, a so-called temporary building was erected. This primarily provides rooms for temporary use that do not offer direct medical care, such as administration, archives, training rooms and the like. The outer shell of the building was designed with the FC façade system from Kalzip. The sustainable system is made of aluminium with a recycled content of 98% and leaves space for an insulation layer.
Thoughtfully considered. KALZIP.
