Revitalization of a bus station in Remscheid

In #Remscheid, in the immediate vicinity of the train station, Friedrich-Ebert-Platz is to be revitalized as part of urban development measures. The central square will retain its function as a bus station. The existing pathways will be upgraded and the quality of the space improved by creating new green areas. In addition, the renovation is intended to help remove barriers and make local public transport more attractive through the redesign. 

An innovative roof system from #Kalzip was chosen for the new bus station canopy. The construction, made of curved aluminum profiles, follows the curved line of the facility and gives the building its characteristic shape. Thanks to the flexible standing seam profiles, the #roof system could be precisely adapted to the different radii. The system also impresses in terms of sustainability: the elements are made of 95% recycled aluminum.
