Public swimming pool, Schwedt, Germany
In July 2021, the ‘AquariUM’ leisure and adventure pool in Schwedt, Germany had to close after the roof collapsed. The cause was an incorrect calculation of the statics of a load-bearing component. The renovation work was correspondingly complex.
However, the new roof is now almost finished. The Kalzip system used scores points with its low weight: the standing seam profiles are made of aluminium and contribute significantly to a lightweight roof structure. Satisfied with the execution of the replaced roof, the roof of the outbuilding is now also being renovated with Kalzip.
