Gymnasium in Vechelde

In #Vechelde, a municipality in Lower Saxony near Peine, a new single-court sports hall is currently being built, which will be connected to the existing building and thus meet the growing demand for hall time for schools and clubs. Covering an area of around 800 m², the new building will offer ideal conditions for various sports such as basketball, handball, volleyball and badminton. Thanks to the combination of a photovoltaic system and an air heat pump, the hall will be largely CO₂-neutral.

The new building is being constructed using sustainable timber construction methods and is equipped with a roof and façade solution from #Kalzip. The FC 30/500 profiles from Kalzip were used for the exterior design, giving the façade its characteristic stepped appearance. The choice of materials, consisting of wood and #aluminium elements, allows for separation by type, which means that the aluminium can be recycled without any loss of quality and dismantling is made much easier.
