Fritzens-Wattens railway station, Austria
Located directly on the River Inn, the new Fritzens-Wattens railway station is a major transport hub connecting rail travellers with the two Austrian towns of Fritzens and Wattens. Accessibility, Park&Ride facilities for cars and bicycles and optimised road connections will contribute to a turnaround in Tyrolean public transport in the future.
Under construction for around a year, some platforms are already being fitted with a Kalzip roof. With an anthracite-coloured coating, the standing seam profiles provide a modern look. In a perforated version, they provide the necessary visibility as façade elements in the pedestrian bridges.
