Kalzip: Focus on online presence

29. September 2022/in Company Information, News/by Yannick Gouder de Beauregard

The expansion of the digital strategy not only pays off for Kalzip in terms of customer growth, but also increases awareness among existing customers. For personal loyalty, the company also relies on its proven premium partner network.

“From our point of view, the following points are relevant for a trade fair appearance: Increasing brand awareness, acquiring new customers, maintaining existing customers, and obtaining project information. By revising our digital strategy, we were able to noticeably improve the perception of the Kalzip brand on the market. Not least due to the challenges of the last few years, digital media have become so established that we can report clearly measurable successes. Kalzip has also been cultivating its network of premium partners for many years in order to maintain personal ties with existing customers. We currently use various digital channels for project acquisition. Due to these successes, as well as the continuing imponderability of a trade fair with a presence in the near future, we have decided not to participate as an exhibitor at the BAU 2023 trade fair in Munich”, announces Christoph Schmidt, Sales Manager Kalzip. “Together with the installers from our globally active network, we are tackling the challenges of our time, developing solutions, and pursuing joint further developments,” Schmidt continues.

For the time being, Kalzip wants to continue to focus on its successful digital concept. In the first half of 2022, the Koblenz-based company already received the German Brand Award for the “Digital Brand of the Year”. “The award is confirmation for us that we are already implementing many things correctly in order to be perceived on the web and thus also on the market. We are therefore focusing our communication on further expanding our digital strategy in order to reach existing and potential new customers,” says Yannick de Beauregard, Marketing Manager at Kalzip. “Furthermore, we see ourselves well equipped for the challenges of the near future, also in terms of products. With our roof solutions, which can incorporate photovoltaics or a natural roof, as well as with our award-winning refurbishment system, we contribute to sustainable construction.”

Kalzip wins German Brand Award

10. June 2022/in Company Information, News/by Kalzip GmbH News

Kalzip wins “Winner” Award in two categories at once

The German Brand Institute Foundation has awarded the manufacturer of aluminium façades and roofs, Kalzip GmbH, Koblenz, Winner in the categories “Excellent Brands – Building & Elements” and “Excellent Brands – Digital Brand of the Year”.

“We saw our participation in the German Brand Award 2022 as an opportunity to have our work on digital strategy recognised,” explains Yannick de Beauregard from the Kalzip marketing team. “By winning, we feel encouraged that we have taken the right steps for Kalzip and will continue to do so. The fact that we have now also been able to win the award for the ‘Excellence Brand’ fills us with pride. ”

Brand awareness campaigns are intended to significantly increase the perception of the Kalzip brand in the online sector. In previous years, the level of awareness among architects and clients fell due to internal change processes and the associated low level of communication measures. In addition, the demographic change on the customer side required a significantly higher digital presence than in the past.

“We want to play the same relevant role in online perception as we do with our construction projects worldwide,” Yannik de Beauregard sums up. “The award for ‘Digital Brand’ includes all measures to present the brand digitally. For this, we provided insights into our follower numbers, video and website views and what we did for them. The ‘Excellence Award’ represents the overall perception of the brand and how it has evolved over the last few years. ”

The aim was to achieve adequate digital visibility in the B2B market, which could initially be achieved with a few lighthouse projects, but in the long term would lead to a permanent increase in brand awareness. The focus was on the anniversary of the Chernobyl environmental disaster, in which Kalzip played a key role in the new protective cover for the damaged reactor, COP 26, the world climate summit in Glasgow, and the topic of sports facilities with a focus on the EURO 21.

The Award
The German Brand Award 2022 is divided into two disciplines: “Excellent Brands” rewards the best product and corporate brands in an industry. “Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation” honours the strongest campaigns, concepts and strategies of individual disciplines.
The “Excellent Brands” category takes a holistic view of brands and assesses the brand management of product and corporate brands within their competitive environments against each other. The categories are therefore divided into sectors and industries.
The manufacturer of aluminium façade and roof elements belongs to the “Building & Elements” sector. It mainly includes building materials, construction elements such as windows and doors, insulation materials as well as companies from the smart home and building management sectors.

This is what winners look like! – In Berlin, Yannick de Beauregard (Marketing Manager at Kalzip) and Kathrin Lutz (Group Head Marketing at the Donges Group) were overjoyed to receive the awards.

Kalzip in Finland

1. October 2019/in Company Information, News/by Kalzip GmbH News

Kalzip shares its expertise with Normek FC Facade is now also produced and distributed in Finland

Normek is further developing its product portfolio in the area of building envelopes and is thus expanding further in Scandinavia: The Normek production plant in Alavus now has a FC facade production line from Kalzip. With the support of the German colleagues, the first FC facade order was successfully completed.

The patented Kalzip FC facade system continues the development of the suspended, ventilated metal facade for an intelligent building envelope and sets standards in terms of flexibility, ease of assembly and cost-effectiveness.

With the Kalzip FC facade system, architects and planners have a variable and at the same time installation-friendly construction product available for the implementation of new construction and renovation projects.

The intelligent assembly technology saves time on the construction site. The easy clicking on of the system components makes assembly particularly economical. The freely selectable mounting direction from top to bottom or from bottom to top brings absolute flexibility. FC Facade is suitable for installation on all substructures and is therefore often the most economical and structurally best solution.

FC Facade also scores points when it comes to dismantling: with the FC Toolkit, it is possible to replace individual, damaged or highly contaminated FC facade panels quickly and easily. Time- and cost-intensive dismantling of entire facade surfaces is no longer necessary and thus also makes maintenance very economical.

1,000 Days accident-free

10. September 2019/in Company Information, News/by Kalzip GmbH News

Occupational safety is Kalzip’s top priority
Production – 1,000 days accident-free

For more than 1,000 days, there has been no reportable accident at the Kalzip plant in Koblenz. 1,000 accident-free working days – this is the result of a consistent education, information and improvement policy of the internationally active company.

Working in a safe and sustainable environment is one of the company’s most important guiding principles. The fact that the issue of safety at work is a top priority
is also confirmed by the regular external certification
(BS OHSAS 18001:2007).

Employees bear responsibility
Cooperation with all employees is essential for this success. Each individual is responsible for their own health and safety at all levels, as well as for their colleagues. Everyone is invited to report and document “near misses” as part of an internal reporting system.

The efforts of recent years and months have shown once again that it is worth investing in safe working conditions. During an official ceremony, the management thanked the staff and works council for this work. Kalzip will continue to do everything possible to further focus on occupational safety in the future.
