Kalzip fall arrest system

Kalzip fall arrest systems (for straight and tapered Kalzip sheets) have been specifically designed to provide safe access onto Kalzip roof surfaces and enable workers to operate handsfree.

Fall arrest systems consist of personal protective equipment (PPE) and additional mechanical components which together are used for the purpose of fall protection.

Depending on the system used, either a shock absorber in the fall arrest system reduces the impact forces created by the fall which are exerted on the user, harness and attachment equipment, or a high capacity energy absorbing coil in the constant force post reduces loads in a fall situation to a maximum of 10kN.

Installation and fixing is via special clamps that fix the post to the standing seam; no penetrative fixings are required and the integrity of the roof is preserved.

Kalzip fall arrest systems are custom designed for each project and should be taken into consideration at the planning phase. Installation, maintenance and routine certification is carried out only by an approved Kalzip installer.
